Scale-up Sessions
Place

Scale-up Sessions is a quarterly series of programmes and events for startups, microbusinesses and SMEs, produced by Design Manchester in partnership with the Business & IP Centre at Manchester Central Library. The first session deals with the impact of the pandemic on small businesses, and the challenges and opportunities as we seek to recover.

The programme is introduced by Images&Co's Kasper de Graaf interviewing Lou Cordwell OBE, founder CEO of magneticNorth and co-chair of the Greater Manchester LEP. Katy Cowan, the founding editor of Creative Boom, then leads a discussion with a panel of people running or working with small creative enterprises: Brighter Music's Debra King, Shirley May of Young Identity, Creative Lancashire's Ed Matthews-Gentle, Dr Jill Adam, the founder and curator of the Louder Than Words festival, and the artist Venessa Scott.
