The origins of life meet the future of live performance in Professor Brian Cox's 11-date Horizons: A 2021 Space Odyssey UK tour that kicks off at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena on 29 September with the final show at the SSE Arena at Wembley on 30 October.
Images&Co's Malcolm Garrett MBE and Alasdair Scott worked with the popular Professor to design the cinematic sci-fi visual identity for the tour, capturing the wonder of the unknown combined with the mass appeal of cinematic experience. But Brian's mission is a world away from presenting fictional reality. His aim is to take audiences on a dazzling cinematic journey, telling the story of how we came to be and what we can become on earth. State of the art LED screens will transform UK arenas into far-away galaxies, alien worlds and transport science fans to the time of the Big Bang.
Professor Brian Cox CBE broke two Guinness World Records with his previous sell-out world tour, and will no doubt come close this time around. The Prof. never shies from askings life's big questions and the new show will contemplate: What is the nature of space and time? Why does the Universe exist? What does it mean to live a small, finite life in a vast, eternal universe?
Cox will explore these questions and share the latest advances in our understanding of quantum theory, black holes, biology, planetary science, astronomy and cosmology with his fans.
Horizons celebrates our civilisation, its music, art, philosophy and science and provides an optimistic vision of the future. Brian is joined by co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage and award-winning comedian Robin Ince. Ince will oversee a Q&A at each show giving an audience of 10,000 people the chance to put questions to the Professor.
